Ferric chloride

by | Nov 6, 2021 | Homework Help

Each group will need to prepare a 25mL 0.15M ferric chloride to serve as a stock solution for the rest of the assignment. This solution does not need to be a volumetric solution. Before your group prepares the solution, determine the quantity of ferric chloride that you will need in order to prepare this stock solution. Prepare the solution in a clean but not necessarily dry 50-mL beaker. Add enough distilled water AND 2mL of 3M HCl to the sample so that final volume of the solution is roughly 25mL. Mix thoroughly using a glass stirring rod. You can measure both the distilled water and HCl using a graduated cylinder.
