He was blamed for Jewish deaths in terror attacks by his peers. While this action was not favored by his fellow countrymen, the fact that he was willing to negotiate for peace in the region with his race’s sworn enemies won him respect in the eyes of the Arab and Western world, hence&nbsp.the Nobel Peace Prize.
