On the review day, after we have concluded our treatment of pride and envy, a reflection essay will be due. This essay can take a number of forms. You can narrate your thought and growth over the course of the class. You can meditate on each of the deadly sins sequentially. You can place the material within the broader context of either your story or goings on in the culture at large. Each reflection essay, however organized, should do the following things. It should show a comprehension of the course content. It should show analytical engagement with that content, either by way of critique or by way of developing ideas beyond our source material. It should show active introspection, considering one’s life carefully in light of the course content. Finally, it should show intentional reflection as regards how one would apply the content both personally and more broadly in either the church or society generally At least 6 pages
